Time zone: Perth
Reminder: 1 day before
Ends: 07:00pm (duration is about 5 hours)

To kick-start the new year we have our first official Have-A-Go day on the 12th January 2019 (this coming weekend)!

We will be running clockwise 2-5pm and then have a small break to change direction and run from 5pm anti-clockwise (same direction as our First club run – 2nd February).

If you have anyone wanting to see if karting is for them please take note of the following guidelines.

- Anyone holding a current KA Licence is NOT ELIGIBLE to be a Have A Go driver, however we will have allocated practice sessions per our normal practice rules throughout the day. KA licenced holders are permitted to practice as per our Club Rules. A $30 practice fee will apply for non-BCKC members.

- This is designed to be a FUN meeting, but we must still comply with KA Regulations.

- People wishing to “Come and Try” in a friends or relatives kart, must sign an Insurance Indemnity form and comply with ALL KA Regulations regarding this.

- Cadet age children (6 – 12) can only use karts with MiniRok or Comer engines

- Junior age children (13 – 15) can only use karts with Restricted KA100 or Yamaha J engines

- Seniors (16+) can only use karts with KA100, Yamaha J / S, Restricted 125 Engines

- You must supply a suitable kart for your Come N Try participant, however if you have someone keen to join the sport but you don’t have the appropriate kart, please contact me to see if there are options to make it happen.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE

Karting Australia Personal Accident Insurance only provides cover to participants who hold a current Karting Australia License. Non-Licensed participants in come and try days are not eligible for personal accident insurance.

APPAREL

Drivers must at all times when on the Race Track be wearing racing apparel that complies with Karting Australia rules. This means:

• Full face Helmet with visor,

• One piece driving suit with long sleeves and trousers;

• Gloves that provide full finger protection

• Closed shoes.

We will be having a sausage sizzle for $2 and drinks and snacks will be available from the canteen.

WE ARE ALSO ASKING FOR ALL THOSE WITH KA LICENCES PRACTICING TO PLEASE CHARGE YOUR TRANSPONDERS! We are wanting to ensure our timing system is working following some recent updates and changes in the tower.
